Baruch 3:7
Good News Translation
You have made us fear you, so that we might pray to you. Here in exile we will praise you because we have turned away from the sins of our ancestors.

For you have put the fear of you in our hearts so that we would call upon your name; and we will praise you in our exile, for we have put away from our hearts all the iniquity of our ancestors who sinned against you.

You have made us fear you, so that we would pray to you. We are here as captives, yet we will praise you and turn from the sinful ways of our ancestors.
