Have moreover tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come,
Matthew 13:20,21 And he that received the seed upon stony ground, is he that heareth the word, and immediately receiveth it with joy. . . .
Mark 4:16,17 And these likewise are they that are sown on the stony ground: who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. . . .
Mark 6:20 For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a just and holy man: and kept him, and when he heard him, did many things: and he heard him willingly.
Luke 8:13 Now they upon the rock are they who when they hear receive the word with joy: and these have no roots: for they believe for a while and in time of temptation they fall away.

…4For it is impossible for those who were once illuminated, have tasted also the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5Have moreover tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come, 6And are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance, crucifying again to themselves the Son of God and making him a mockery.…
O taste, and see that the Lord is sweet: blessed is the man that hopeth in him.
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him neither in this world, nor in the world to come.
And take unto you the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God).
For God hath not subjected unto angels the world to come, whereof we speak.
For the word of God is living and effectual and more piercing than any two edged sword; and reaching unto the division of the soul and the spirit, of the joints also and the marrow: and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
By faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God: that from invisible things visible things might be made.
