1I cried aloud to God, even unto God with my voice; and He heard me. 2In the day of my trouble I sought the LORD. without ceasing in the night; my soul refused to be comforted. 3I remembered You, O God, when I was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah. 4You kept my eyes from closing; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5I have considered the days of old, the years of long ago. 6I remember my song in the night; I mused in my heart, and my spirit made diligent search.

7Will the LORD reject forever? And will He no longer be favorable? 8Has His mercy completely gone forever? Has His promises ended for all time? 9Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger withdrawn all His tender mercies? Selah.

10And I said, ‘This is my grief; that the right hand of the Most High has changed.’ 11But I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. 12I will meditate also upon all Your work, and talk of Your doings. 13Your ways, O God, are holy; what ‘god’ is as great as our God? 14You are the God Who does wonders; You have displayed Your power among the people. 15You have redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph, with Your arm Selah.

16When the Red Sea saw You, O God, its waters saw You and trembled; the depths were also troubled. 17The clouds poured down water; the skies sent out thunder; Your lightning arrows also flashed abroad. 18Your thunder resounded in the heaven; the lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook. 19Your way led through the sea, and Your path in the great waters, and Your footprints were not to be found.

20You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
