A Song or Psalm of Asaph.

1Do not remain silent, O God; nor hold Your peace, or be still. 2For see how Your enemies cause an uproar; and those who hate You have exalted themselves. 3They have conspired against Your people, and plotted against those You protect. 4They have said, “Come, and let us destroy them as a nation; that the name of Israel may no more be remembered”. 5For they are in coalesced into a confederacy against You: 6The tents of Edom, Ishmaelites; Moabites, Hagarenes; 7Gebalites, Ammonites, Amalekites; Philistines, along with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8And even Assyria are joined with them; they have aided the children of Lot. Selah.

9Do to them as You did to the Midianites; to Sisera, and to Jabin, at the brook of Kishon, 10Who perished at En-dor; they became as refuse for the earth. 11Let their nobles die like Oreb, and Zeeb: yea, all their leaders such as Zebah, and as Zalmunna, 12Who said, “Let us seize the houses (temple) of God for ourselves”. 13O my God, make them like a tumbleweed, like stubble before the wind. 14As the fire burns a forest, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire, 15So pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm. 16Humble them, that they may seek Your name, O LORD. 17Let them be confounded and forever ashamed; yea, let them be humiliated, and perish: 18That men may know that You, Whose name alone is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.

upon Gittith (a stringed instrument), A Psalm for the sons of Korah, upon laying the foundation for the second temple.
