144,000 Sealed

1After these things, I saw FOUR ANGELS standing on the four corners of the land, holding the four winds of the land, that the wind should not blow on the land, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2and I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud vioce to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3saying, "hurt not the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."

4And I heard the number of those who were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred forty and four thousand, of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Isachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Praise from the Great Multitude

9After this I beheld, and there was a great multitude, which no man could number, of every nation, tribe, people, and language, who stood before the throne, and before the lamb cloathed in white robes, having palms in their hands. 10They cried with a loud voice, "salvation from our God who sits upon the throne, and unto the lamb.' 11and all the angels who stood round about the throne, and about the elders, and the four animals fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, saying, amen: 12praise, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might be to our God for ever and ever, amen.

13Then one of the elders spake, and said to me, who are those that are arrayed in white robes? and whence do they come? 14my Lord, answer'd I, you can tell, and he said to me, these are they who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the lamb. 15therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall cover them, as a pavillion. 16they shall no more suffer hunger or thirst, neither shall the sun dart on them, nor any heat molest them. 17for the lamb who is in the midst before the throne, shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
