John Edgar McFadyen—Introduction to the Old Testament
After you take the breast of the ram for Aaron's ordination, wave it before the LORD as a wave offering, and it will be your share.
"Consecrate those parts of the ordination ram that belong to Aaron and his sons: the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented.
"'This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.'"
You are to give the right thigh of your fellowship offerings to the priest as a contribution.
The son of Aaron who offers the blood and the fat of the fellowship offering shall have the right thigh as his share.
But you and your sons and your daughters may eat the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented. Eat them in a ceremonially clean place; they have been given to you and your children as your share of the Israelites' fellowship offerings.
The thigh that was presented and the breast that was waved must be brought with the fat portions of the food offerings, to be waved before the LORD as a wave offering. This will be the perpetual share for you and your children, as the LORD has commanded."
