When they heard this, all the people--even the tax collectors--agreed that God's way was right, for they had been baptized by John.
He requested letters addressed to the synagogues in Damascus, asking for their cooperation in the arrest of any followers of the Way he found there. He wanted to bring them--both men and women--back to Jerusalem in chains.
When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.
"Then what baptism did you experience?" he asked. And they replied, "The baptism of John."
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.
