The Israelites called the food manna. It was white like coriander seed, and it tasted like honey wafers.
The manna looked like small coriander seeds, and it was pale yellow like gum resin.
The manna came down on the camp with the dew during the night.
"You gave them bread from heaven when they were hungry and water from the rock when they were thirsty. You commanded them to go and take possession of the land you had sworn to give them.
He rained down manna for them to eat; he gave them bread from heaven.
They asked for meat, and he sent them quail; he satisfied their hunger with manna--bread from heaven.
