I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began.
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!"
After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.
Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
1 Peter 1:21
Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.
