She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. "God has removed my disgrace," she said.
But first let me do this one thing: Let me go up and roam in the hills and weep with my friends for two months, because I will die a virgin."
In that day so few men will be left that seven women will fight for each man, saying, "Let us all marry you! We will provide our own food and clothing. Only let us take your name so we won't be mocked as old maids."
He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The LORD has spoken!
