Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out on the earth the seven bowls of God’s wrath.”1Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth."
So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and loathsome, malignant sores broke out on those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.2The first went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and severely painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.
And the second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it turned to blood like that of the dead, and every living thing in the sea died.3The second poured out his bowl into the sea. It turned to blood like a dead man's, and all life in the sea died.
And the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they turned to blood.4The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood.
And I heard the angel of the waters say: “Righteous are You, O Holy One, who is and was, because You have brought these judgments.5I heard the angel of the waters say: You are righteous, who is and who was, the Holy One, for You have decided these things.
For they have spilled the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink, as they deserve.”6Because they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, You also gave them blood to drink; they deserve it!
And I heard the altar reply: “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are Your judgments.”7Then I heard someone from the altar say: Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, TRUE and righteous are Your judgments.
Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given power to scorch the people with fire.8The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun. He was given the power to burn people with fire,
And the people were scorched by intense heat, and they cursed the name of God, who had authority over these plagues; yet they did not repent and give Him glory.9and people were burned by the intense heat. So they blasphemed the name of God, who had the power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory.
And the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness, and men began to gnaw their tongues in anguish10The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues because of their pain
and curse the God of heaven for their pains and sores; yet they did not repent of their deeds.11and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, yet they did not repent of their actions.
And the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the East.12The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the east.
And I saw three unclean spirits that looked like frogs coming out of the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.13Then I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming from the dragon's mouth, from the beast's mouth, and from the mouth of the false prophet.
These are demonic spirits that perform signs and go out to all the kings of the earth, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.14For they are spirits of demons performing signs, who travel to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for the battle of the great day of God, the Almighty.
“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who remains awake and clothed, so that he will not go naked and let his shame be exposed.”15"Look, I am coming like a thief. The one who is alert and remains clothed so that he may not go around naked and people see his shame is blessed."
And they assembled the kings in the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.16So they assembled them at the place called in Hebrew, Armagedon.
Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came from the throne in the temple, saying, “It is done!”17Then the seventh poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the sanctuary from the throne, saying, "It is done!"
And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder, and a great earthquake the likes of which had not occurred since men were upon the earth—so mighty was the great quake.18There were flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder. And a severe earthquake occurred like no other since man has been on the earth--so great was the quake.
The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. And God remembered Babylon the great and gave her the cup of the wine of the fury of His wrath.19The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the Great was remembered in God's presence; He gave her the cup filled with the wine of His fierce anger.
Then every island fled, and no mountain could be found.20Every island fled, and the mountains disappeared.
And great hailstones weighing almost a hundred pounds each rained down on them from above. And men cursed God for the plague of hail, because it was so horrendous.21Enormous hailstones, each weighing about 100 pounds, fell from the sky on people, and they blasphemed God for the plague of hail because that plague was extremely severe.
