Psalm 11
BSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleNew Living Translation
1For the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain!1I trust in the LORD for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!
2For behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrow on the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.2The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right.
3If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”3The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?”
4The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. His eyes are watching closely; they examine the sons of men.4But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth.
5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked; His soul hates the lover of violence.5The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates those who love violence.
6On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.6He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.
7For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. The upright will see His face.7For the righteous LORD loves justice. The virtuous will see his face.
