ESV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew Living Translation
O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;1O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me.
many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah2So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” Interlude
But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.3But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.
I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah4I cried out to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude
I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.5I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me.
I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.6I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side.
Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.7Arise, O LORD! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked!
Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah8Victory comes from you, O LORD. May you bless your people. Interlude
