HCSB Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
For the choir director: "Do Not Destroy." A Davidic Miktam. When he fled before Saul into the cave. Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, for I take refuge in You. I will seek refuge in the shadow of Your wings until danger passes. 1For the choir director; set to Al-tashheth. A Mikhtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.
I call to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me. 2I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me.
He reaches down from heaven and saves me, challenging the one who tramples me. Selah God sends His faithful love and truth. 3He will send from heaven and save me; He reproaches him who tramples upon me. Selah. God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.
I am surrounded by lions; I lie down with those who devour men. Their teeth are spears and arrows; their tongues are sharp swords. 4My soul is among lions; I must lie among those who breathe forth fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows And their tongue a sharp sword.
God, be exalted above the heavens; let Your glory be over the whole earth. 5Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
They prepared a net for my steps; I was despondent. They dug a pit ahead of me, but they fell into it! Selah 6They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They dug a pit before me; They themselves have fallen into the midst of it. Selah.
My heart is confident, God, my heart is confident. I will sing; I will sing praises. 7My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!
Wake up, my soul! Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn. 8Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. 9I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.
For Your faithful love is as high as the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches the clouds. 10For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds.
God, be exalted above the heavens; let Your glory be over the whole earth. 11Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
