HCSB Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNET Bible
Hallelujah! My soul, praise the LORD. 1Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!
I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing to my God as long as I live. 2I will praise the LORD as long as I live! I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist!
Do not trust in nobles, in man, who cannot save. 3Do not trust in princes, or in human beings, who cannot deliver!
When his breath leaves him, he returns to the ground; on that day his plans die. 4Their life's breath departs, they return to the ground; on that day their plans die.
Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, 5How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,
the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. He remains faithful forever, 6the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who remains forever faithful,
executing justice for the exploited and giving food to the hungry. The LORD frees prisoners. 7vindicates the oppressed, and gives food to the hungry. The LORD releases the imprisoned.
The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD raises up those who are oppressed. The LORD loves the righteous. 8The LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD lifts up all who are bent over. The LORD loves the godly.
The LORD protects foreigners and helps the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked. 9The LORD protects those residing outside their native land; he lifts up the fatherless and the widow, but he opposes the wicked.
The LORD reigns forever; Zion, your God reigns for all generations. Hallelujah! 10The LORD rules forever, your God, O Zion, throughout the generations to come! Praise the LORD!
