Psalm 6
ISV Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionKing James Bible
1LORD, in your anger, do not rebuke me, in your wrath, do not discipline me.1To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2Be gracious to me, LORD, because I am fading away. Heal me, because my body is distressed.2Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3And my soul is deeply distressed. But you, LORD, how long do I wait? 3My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4Return, LORD, save my life! Deliver me, because of your gracious love.4Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
5In death, there is no memory of you. Who will give you thanks where the dead are? 5For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6I am weary from my groaning. Every night my couch is drenched with tears, my bed is soaked through.6I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7My eyesight has faded because of grief, it has dimmed because of all my enemies.7Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8Get away from me, all of you who practice evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.8Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD receives my prayer.9The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10As for all my enemies, they will be put to shame; they will be greatly frightened and suddenly turn away ashamed.10Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
