Psalm 7
ISV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
LORD, my God, I seek refuge in you. Deliver me from those who persecute me! Rescue me!1A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, a Benjamite. O LORD my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
Otherwise, they will rip me to shreds like a lion, tearing me apart with no one to rescue me. 2Or he will tear my soul like a lion, Dragging me away, while there is none to deliver.
LORD, my God, if I have done this thing, if there is injustice on my hands,3O LORD my God, if I have done this, If there is injustice in my hands,
if I have rewarded those who did me good with evil, if I have plundered my enemy without justification,4If I have rewarded evil to my friend, Or have plundered him who without cause was my adversary,
then, let my enemy pursue me, let him overtake me, and let him trample my life to the ground. Interlude Let him put my honor into the dust.5Let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it; And let him trample my life down to the ground And lay my glory in the dust. Selah.
Get up, LORD, in your anger! Rise up, because of the fury of my enemies; Arouse yourself for me; you have ordained justice.6Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; Lift up Yourself against the rage of my adversaries, And arouse Yourself for me; You have appointed judgment.
Let the assembly of the peoples gather around you, and you will sit high above them.7Let the assembly of the peoples encompass You, And over them return on high.
For the LORD will judge the peoples. Judge me according to my righteousness, LORD, and according to my integrity, Exalted One.8The LORD judges the peoples; Vindicate me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.
Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous. For you are the righteous God who discerns the inner thoughts. 9O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.
God is my shield, the one who delivers the upright in heart.10My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart.
God is a righteous judge, a God who is angry with sinners every day.11God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day.
If the ungodly one doesn't repent, God will sharpen his sword; he will string his bow and prepare it.12If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.
He prepares weapons of death for himself, he makes his arrows into fiery shafts.13He has also prepared for Himself deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.
But the wicked one travails with evil, he conceives malice and gives birth to lies.14Behold, he travails with wickedness, And he conceives mischief and brings forth falsehood.
He digs a pit, even excavates it; then he fell into the hole that he had made.15He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made.
The trouble he planned will return on his own head, and his violence will descend on his skull.16His mischief will return upon his own head, And his violence will descend upon his own pate.
But as for me, I will praise the LORD for his righteousness, and I will sing to the name of the LORD Most High.17I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
