KJV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.1For the choir director; with stringed instruments, upon an eight-string lyre. A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your wrath.
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.2Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am pining away; Heal me, O LORD, for my bones are dismayed.
My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?3And my soul is greatly dismayed; But You, O LORD-- how long?
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.4Return, O LORD, rescue my soul; Save me because of Your lovingkindness.
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?5For there is no mention of You in death; In Sheol who will give You thanks?
I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.6I am weary with my sighing; Every night I make my bed swim, I dissolve my couch with my tears.
Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.7My eye has wasted away with grief; It has become old because of all my adversaries.
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.8Depart from me, all you who do iniquity, For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.9The LORD has heard my supplication, The LORD receives my prayer.
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.10All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed; They shall turn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.
