NASB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me.1O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;
Many are saying of my soul, "There is no deliverance for him in God." Selah.2many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah
But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.3But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
I was crying to the LORD with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah.4I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.5I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me round about.6I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God! For You have smitten all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked.7Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
Salvation belongs to the LORD; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.8Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah
