| 3If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? | 3If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? |
| 4But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. | 4But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. |
| 5I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. | 5I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. |
