NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
For the choir director; on the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts!1For the director of music. According to gittith. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. How lovely is your dwelling place, LORD Almighty!
My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.2My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God.3Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-- a place near your altar, LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah.4Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the highways to Zion!5Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a spring; The early rain also covers it with blessings.6As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.7They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.
O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah.8Hear my prayer, LORD God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob.
Behold our shield, O God, And look upon the face of Your anointed.9Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.10Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.11For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
O LORD of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You!12LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
