Psalm 143
NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD, Give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!1Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.
And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no man living is righteous.2Don’t put your servant on trial, for no one is innocent before you.
For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead.3My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave.
Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart is appalled within me.4I am losing all hope; I am paralyzed with fear.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I muse on the work of Your hands.5I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done.
I stretch out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah.6I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Interlude
Answer me quickly, O LORD, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will become like those who go down to the pit.7Come quickly, LORD, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die.
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.8Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.
Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies; I take refuge in You.9Rescue me from my enemies, LORD; I run to you to hide me.
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.10Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
For the sake of Your name, O LORD, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.11For the glory of your name, O LORD, preserve my life. Because of your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress.
And in Your lovingkindness, cut off my enemies And destroy all those who afflict my soul, For I am Your servant.12In your unfailing love, silence all my enemies and destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
