A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 1A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my strength. He leads me down the right paths for the sake of his reputation. 3He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Even when I must walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff reassure me. 4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a feast before me in plain sight of my enemies. You refresh my head with oil; my cup is completely full. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and faithfulness will pursue me all my days, and I will live in the LORD's house for the rest of my life. 6Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
