Psalm 120
NET Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleKing James Bible
1A song of ascents. In my distress I cried out to the LORD and he answered me. 1A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2I said, "O LORD, rescue me from those who lie with their lips and those who deceive with their tongue. 2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3How will he severely punish you, you deceptive talker? 3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4Here's how! With the sharp arrows of warriors, with arrowheads forged over the hot coals. 4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5How miserable I am! For I have lived temporarily in Meshech; I have resided among the tents of Kedar. 5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6For too long I have had to reside with those who hate peace. 6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7I am committed to peace, but when I speak, they want to make war. 7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
