Psalm 1
NET Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew Living Translation
1How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers! 1Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
2Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the LORD's commands; he meditates on his commands day and night. 2But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night.
3He is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time, and its leaves never fall off. He succeeds in everything he attempts. 3They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
4Not so with the wicked! Instead they are like wind-driven chaff. 4But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
5For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly. 5They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6Certainly the LORD guards the way of the godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction. 6For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
