Psalm 123
NET Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew Living Translation
1A song of ascents. I look up toward you, the one enthroned in heaven. 1I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven.
2Look, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female servant look to the hand of her mistress, so my eyes will look to the LORD, our God, until he shows us favor. 2We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.
3Show us favor, O LORD, show us favor! For we have had our fill of humiliation, and then some. 3Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy, for we have had our fill of contempt.
4We have had our fill of the taunts of the self-assured, of the contempt of the proud. 4We have had more than our fill of the scoffing of the proud and the contempt of the arrogant.
