| 2You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins. | 2You pardoned the wrongdoing of your people; you forgave all their sin. (Selah) |
| 3You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger. | 3You withdrew all your fury; you turned back from your raging anger. |
| 4Restore us again, God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. | 4Restore us, O God our deliverer! Do not be displeased with us! |
| 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations? | 5Will you stay mad at us forever? Will you remain angry throughout future generations? |
