Psalm 1
NIV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNew Living Translation
1Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,1Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
2but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.2But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night.
3That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-- whatever they do prospers.3They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
4Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.4But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.5They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.6For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
