Psalm 1
NKJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNET Bible
1Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;1How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers!
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.2Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the LORD's commands; he meditates on his commands day and night.
3He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.3He is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time, and its leaves never fall off. He succeeds in everything he attempts.
4The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.4Not so with the wicked! Instead they are like wind-driven chaff.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.5For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly.
6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.6Certainly the LORD guards the way of the godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction.
