| 1 The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says, “The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed—roots, branches, and all. | 1 "The coming day is certainly going to burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and all who practice evil will be stubble—the coming day will set them on fire," says the LORD of the Heavenly Armies, "so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. |
| 2“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. | 2But the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in its light for those who fear my name. You will go out and leap like calves released from their stalls |
