Psalm 1
NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
1Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.1How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night.2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.
4But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.4The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
5They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.
