Psalm 63
NLT Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNET Bible
1O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.1A psalm of David, written when he was in the Judean wilderness. O God, you are my God! I long for you! My soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
2I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory.2Yes, in the sanctuary I have seen you, and witnessed your power and splendor.
3Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!3Because experiencing your loyal love is better than life itself, my lips will praise you.
4I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.4For this reason I will praise you while I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
5You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.5As if with choice meat you satisfy my soul. My mouth joyfully praises you,
6I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night.6whenever I remember you on my bed, and think about you during the nighttime hours.
7Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.7For you are my deliverer; under your wings I rejoice.
8I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.8My soul pursues you; your right hand upholds me.
9But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin. They will go down into the depths of the earth.9Enemies seek to destroy my life, but they will descend into the depths of the earth.
10They will die by the sword and become the food of jackals.10Each one will be handed over to the sword; their corpses will be eaten by jackals.
11But the king will rejoice in God. All who swear to tell the truth will praise him, while liars will be silenced.11But the king will rejoice in God; everyone who takes oaths in his name will boast, for the mouths of those who speak lies will be shut up.
