1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.1“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.1"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.1"Your heart must not be troubled. 2My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?2In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?2"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.2In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you.
3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.3"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.3If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.
4You know the way to the place where I am going."4And you know the way to where I am going.”4"And you know the way where I am going."4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.4You know the way to where I am going." "

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
5Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”5Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?5Lord," Thomas said, "we don't know where You're going. How can we know the way?"
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.6Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.6Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."7If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”7"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.7"If you know Me, you will also know My Father. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.""
8Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."8Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”8Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."8Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.8Lord," said Philip, "show us the Father, and that's enough for us."
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
9Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?9Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?9Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father '?9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?9Jesus said to him, "Have I been among you all this time without your knowing Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?
10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.10"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.10Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own. The Father who lives in Me does His works.
11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.11Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.11"Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.11Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Otherwise, believe because of the works themselves.
12Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.12“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.12"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.12"I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.
13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.13Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.13"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.13Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.14If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.14"If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.14If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15"If you love me, keep my commands.15“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.15"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.15If ye love me, keep my commandments.15"If you love Me, you will keep My commands.
16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever--16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,16"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.
17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.17even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.17He is the Spirit of truth. The world is unable to receive Him because it doesn't see Him or know Him. But you do know Him, because He remains with you and will be in you.
18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.18“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.18"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.18I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.

19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.19Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.19"After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.19"In a little while the world will see Me no longer, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live too.
20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.20In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.20"In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.20In that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you.
21Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them."21Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”21"He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.21The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him."
22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"22Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?”22Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?"22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?22Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it You're going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?"
23Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.23Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.23Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.23Jesus answered, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
24Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.24Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.24"He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.24The one who doesn't love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me.
25"All this I have spoken while still with you.25“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you.25"These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.25"I have spoken these things to you while I remain with you.
26But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.26"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit--the Father will send Him in My name--will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.

Peace I Leave with You

(Romans 5:1-5)

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.27"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.27"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.
28"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.28You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.28"You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.28You have heard Me tell you, I am going away and I am coming to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
29I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.29And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe.29"Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.29I have told you now before it happens so that when it does happen you may believe.
30I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me,30I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me,30"I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.30I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over Me.
31but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. "Come now; let us leave.31but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.31but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here.31But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.31On the contrary, I am going away so that the world may know that I love the Father. Just as the Father commanded Me, so I do. "Get up; let's leave this place.
