1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; Blessed <i>is</i> the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
2 But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. But his delight <i>is</i> in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, And on His Law he meditates day and night. but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
4 Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. The ungodly <i>are</i> not so: but <i>are</i> like the chaff which the wind driveth away. The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind blows away. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
