Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? Why are the nations restless And the peoples plotting in vain? Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One: The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers conspire together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the LORD and against his anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their chains and cast away Their cords.” “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. “Let’s tear their shackles apart And throw their ropes away from us!” “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.”
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them. He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury: Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying, He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
“I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.” “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.” “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”
I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father. I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. “I will announce the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have fathered You. I will proclaim the LORD’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father.
Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. ‘Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. ‘You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’” You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
Therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth. Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Now then, you kings, use insight; Let yourselves be instructed, you judges of the earth. Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Serve the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling. Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Kiss the Son, that He not be angry and you perish on the way, For His wrath may be kindled quickly. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him! Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
