I Stretch Out My Hands to You 1A Psalm of David. 1 O YHWH, hear my prayer; give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness, answer me in Your righteousness! 2And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for not anyone alive is righteous before Your face. 3For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, 4So my spirit through me has grown weak, and within me my heart is desolate. 5I remember the days of antiquity; I have meditated on all Your deeds; I muse on the work of Your hands. 6I spread out my hands to You; my soul is like a land exhausted for You. 7Hurry to answer me, O YHWH; my spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, or I will be likened with those going down to the Pit. 8Cause me to hear Your loving devotion in the morning, for in You do I trust; make me to know the way in which I should walk, 9Deliver me from my enemies, O YHWH; to You I have fled for refuge.† 10Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; May Your good Spirit, lead me 11For the sake of Your name, O YHWH, revive me; in Your righteousness, bring forth my soul from distress. 12And in Your loving devotion, may You cut off my enemies and destroy all afflicting my soul! For I am Your servant. Footnotes: 9 LXX and one Hebrew manuscript; most Hebrew manuscripts in You I have taken cover Berean Literal Bible This is the first draft of the Berean Literal Bible.
