Sing to Yahweh a New Song
(Psalm 98:1–9; Isaiah 42:10–17)

1Hallelu YAH!

Sing to YHWH a new song—

His praise in the assembly of the holy ones!

2Let Israel rejoice in his Maker;

let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King!

3Let them praise His name with dancing;

with tambourine and harp let them make music to Him!

4For YHWH delights in His people;

He adorns the humble with salvation.

5Let the holy ones exult in His glory;

let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6Let the high praises of God be in their throat,

and a two-edged sword in their hand,

7to execute vengeance on the nations,

and punishments against the peoples,

8to bind their kings with chains,

and their nobles with shackles of iron,

9to execute against them the judgment written—

it is an honor for all His holy ones.

Praise YAH!

Footnotes:

1 Hallelu YAH means Praise YHWH; also in verse 9
