Sing to Yahweh a New Song
(Psalm 149:1–9; Isaiah 42:10–17)

1A Psalm.

1 Sing to YHWH a new song,

for He has done wonders!

His right hand has gained victory for Him,

even the arm of His holiness.

2YHWH has made known His victory;

before the eyes of the nations, He has revealed His righteousness.

3He has remembered His kindness and His faithfulness

to the house of Israel;

all the ends of the earth have seen

the victory of our God.

4Shout joyfully to YHWH, all the earth;

break forth and cry aloud and sing praises!

5Sing praises to YHWH with the harp,

with the harp and the voice of melody!

6With the trumpets and the voice of the shofar,

shout joyfully before the face of YHWH the King!

7Let the sea roar, and its fullness,

the world, and those dwelling in it!

8Let the rivers clap the hands;

let the hills cry aloud together,

9before the face of YHWH—

for He is coming to judge the earth!

He will judge the world with righteousness,

and the peoples with uprightness!
