The Heavens Declare the Glory of God 1For the one directing. A Psalm of David. 1 The heavens are recounting the glory of God, and the firmament is declaring the work of and His hands. 2Day after day it pours forth speech, and night after night it shows forth knowledge. 3Without speech and without words, their voice not being heard,† 4their voice† has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.† He has placed a tent in them 5and it is like a bridegroom going forth from his chamber, rejoicing like a strong man to run the path. 6From one end of the heavens is his going forth, and his circuit is upon their ends, and there is nothing being hidden from his heat. 7The law of YHWH is perfect, refreshing the soul; the testimony of YHWH is sure, 8The statutes of YHWH are straight, making glad the heart; the commandment of YHWH is pure, 9The fear of YHWH is pure, standing forever; the judgments of YHWH are true, 10being desired above gold, and much above pure gold, and sweeter than honey and flowing honey from the honeycomb. 11Indeed, Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them is great reward. 12Who can discern his errors? 13Also, hold back Your servant from proud things; may they not rule over me. Then I shall be complete, and cleansed of great transgression. 14The words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, let them be for favor before Your face, O YHWH, my Rock and my Redeemer.
