The Day of Trouble

1For the one directing. A Psalm of David.

1 May YHWH answer you in the day of distress;

may the name of the God of Jacob set you on high.

2May He send help for you from the Holy Place,

and from Zion may He support you.

3May He remember all your gifts,

and anoint your burnt offering.

Selah

4may He give to you according to your heart,

and fulfill all your counsel.

5We will rejoice in your salvation,

and we will raise a banner in the name of our God;

may YHWH fulfill all your petitions.

6Now I know that YHWH brings salvation for His anointed;

He will answer him from His holy heaven,

with the saving might of His right hand.

7These in the chariots, and these in the horses,

but we, in the name of YHWH our God, will remember.

8They have bowed down and fallen,

and we have risen and stand upright.

9O YHWH, save† the king!
