Deliver Me, O LORD! 1A Psalm of David, in his fleeing from the face of Absalom his son. 1 O YHWH, how many are my adversaries! Many are rising up against me! 2Many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah† 3and You, O YHWH, are a shield behind me, my glory, and One lifting high my head. 4With my voice I cry to YHWH, and He answers me from the mountain of His holiness. 5I lie down and sleep; I awake, for YHWH sustains me. 6I shall not fear the multitudes of people, who have set themselves all around against me. 7Arise, O YHWH! Save me, O my God! O that You would strike all my enemies on the jaw; may you break the teeth of the wicked! 8Unto YHWH is the salvation; may Your blessing be upon Your people. Selah Footnotes: 2 Selah or Interlude is probably a musical or literary term; here and throughout the Psalms. Berean Literal Bible This is the first draft of the Berean Literal Bible.
