The Triumphant Messiah 2The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers establish themselves together against YHWH and against His Anointed:† 3“Let us tear off their bonds, and cast away from us their cords.” 4The One sitting in the heavens laughs; 5Then He speaks to them in His anger, and in his fury He terrifies them: 6“And I have installed My King on Zion, 7I will recount the decree of YHWH; He has said to Me: “You are My Son; today I have begotten You.† 8Ask from Me and I will give the nations as Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. 9You will break them† with a rod of iron; You will shatter them like a vessel of a potter.†” 10And now, O kings, be prudent; be admonished, O judges of the earth. 11Serve YHWH with fear, 12Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you⁺ perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled in an instant. Blessed are all seekering refuge in Him.
