Do Not Harden Your Hearts
(Hebrews 3:7–11)

1O come, let us sing out to YHWH;

let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!

2Let us come before His face with thanksgiving,

let us shout joyfully with psalms to Him!

3For a great God is YHWH,

and the great King above all gods—

4in whose hand are the depths of the earth,

and the peaks of the mountains are unto Him,

5and to whom is the sea, for He made it,

and His hands formed the dry land.

6O come, let us worship and bow down;

let us kneel before the face of YHWH our Maker!

7For He is our God,

and we are the people of His pasture,

and the sheep of His hand.

Today, if you⁺ hear His voice:

8You⁺ shall not harden your⁺ hearts,

as at Meribah,

as in the day at Massah in the wilderness,

9when your⁺ fathers tested Me—they tried Me,

even though they had seen My work.

10Forty years I was repulsed by that generation,

and I said, “They are a people going astray in heart,

and they have not known My ways.”

11So I swore in My anger,

“They shall not come into My rest!”
