To the Church in Ephesus
(Acts 19:8–12; Ephesians 1:1–2)

1“ To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:

These things says the One holding the seven stars in His right hand, walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands.

2I know your works and your labor and perseverance, and that you are not able to bear evil ones. And you tested those claiming themselves to be apostles and are not, and you found them false. 3And you have perseverance, and you endured because of My name, and you have not grown weary.

4But I have against you that you abandoned your first love. 5Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works. But if not, I am coming to you,† and I will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you should repent.

6But you have this, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

7The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one overcoming, I will give to him to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise† of God.

To the Church in Smyrna

8And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write:

These things says the First and the Last, who became dead and lived.

9I know† your tribulation and poverty—but you are rich—and the slander of those claiming themselves to be Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

10Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you⁺ into prison, so that you⁺ might be tested; and you⁺ will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

11The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one overcoming shall not be harmed by the second death.

To the Church in Pergamum

12And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write:

These things says the One having the sharp two-edged sword.

13I know where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is; and you hold fast to My name, and you did not deny My faith, even† in the days of Antipas My witness, My faithful one, who was killed beside you⁺, where Satan dwells.

14But I have a few things against you, because you have some there holding the teaching of Balaam, who would teach Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality. 15So you also have some holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans likewise. 16Therefore† repent! But if not, I am coming to you quickly, and I will war against them with the sword of My mouth.

17The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one overcoming, I will give† to him the hidden manna, and I will give to him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows except the one receiving it.

To the Church in Thyatira
(Acts 16:11–15)

18And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write:

These things says the Son of God, the One having His eyes as a flame of fire, and His feet like burnished bronze.

19I know your works, and your love and faith and service and perseverance; and your last works are more than the first.

20But I have† against you that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, the one calling herself a prophetess and teaching and leading astray My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols. 21And I gave her time that she might repent, and she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality.

22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they shall repent of her† works. 23And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches will know that I am the One searching kidneys and hearts; and I will give to each of you⁺ according to your⁺ works.

24But I say to you⁺, to the rest of those in Thyatira, as many as do not have this teaching, who did not know the depths of Satan, as they say: I will not cast upon you⁺ any other burden. 25But hold fast to what you⁺ have until which time I might come. 26And the one overcoming and keeping My works until the end, I will give to him authority over the nations, 27and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken in pieces†—just as I also have received from My Father. 28And I will give to him the morning star.

29The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
