Good News Translation
I have the courage to pray this prayer to you, my God, because you have revealed all this to me, your servant, and have told me that you will make my descendants kings.

For you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him; therefore your servant has found it possible to pray before you.

because you are my God, and you have promised that my descendants will be kings. That's why I have the courage to pray to you like this, even though I am only your servant.
