David said to God, "I have committed a terrible sin in doing this! Please forgive me. I have acted foolishly."

David said to God, “I have sinned greatly in that I have done this thing. But now, I pray you, take away the guilt of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.”

David prayed, "I am your servant. But what I did was stupid and terribly wrong. Please forgive me."
