Good News Translation
Some people brought their babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. The disciples saw them and scolded them for doing so,

People were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly ordered them not to do it.

Some people brought their little children for Jesus to bless. But when his disciples saw them doing this, they told the people to stop bothering him.
