I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in Him.

On that day My anger will burn against them, and I will abandon them and hide My face from them, so that they will be consumed, and many troubles and afflictions will befall them. On that day they will say, 'Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is no longer with us?'
Why do You hide Your face and consider me as Your enemy?
Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.
When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you multiply your prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.
And in that day it will be said, "Surely this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation."
Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He rises to show you compassion, for the LORD is a just God. Blessed are all who wait for Him.
Truly You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.
In a surge of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says the LORD your Redeemer.
Those who come to fight the Chaldeans will fill these houses with the corpses of their own men, whom I will strike down in My anger and in My wrath. I have hidden My face from this city because of all its wickedness.
For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end, and will not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and not delay.
