Those who escape the sword will return from Egypt to Judah, few in number, and the whole remnant of Judah who went to dwell in the land of Egypt will know whose word will stand, Mine or theirs!

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations.
The remaining trees of its forests will be so few that a child could count them.
The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back?
In that day the LORD will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, O Israelites, will be gathered one by one.
And in that day a great trumpet will sound, and those who were perishing in Assyria will come forth with those who were exiles in Egypt. And they will worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
I distinguish the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come, saying: 'My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.'
I summon a bird of prey from the east, a man for My purpose from a far-off land. Truly I have spoken, truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, I will surely do it.
So all who resolve to go to Egypt to reside there will die by the sword, famine, and plague. Not one of them will survive or escape the disaster I will bring upon them.
I will punish those who live in the land of Egypt, just as I punished Jerusalem, by sword, famine, and plague,
so that none of the remnant of Judah who have gone to reside in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, where they long to return and dwell; for none will return except a few fugitives."
You who have escaped the sword, depart and do not linger! Remember the LORD from far away, and let Jerusalem come to mind.
Yet I will leave a remnant. For some of you will escape the sword when you are scattered among the nations and throughout the lands.
But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers? They repented and said, 'Just as the LORD of Hosts purposed to do to us according to our ways and deeds, so He has done to us.'"
