Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture.
Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who prophesy in My name, though I did not send them, and who say, 'No sword or famine will touch this land.' By sword and famine these very prophets will meet their end!
Jeremiah 23:16, 17, 21, 32
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are filling you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD. . . .
Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, "Listen, Hananiah! The LORD did not send you, but you have persuaded this people to trust in a lie. . . .
Jeremiah 29:31, 32
"Send a message to all the exiles: This is what the LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust in a lie, . . .
"Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Tell those who prophesy out of their own imagination: 'Hear the word of the LORD! . . .
Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
Woe to you, blind guides! You say, 'If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.'
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
This is why it says: "When He ascended on high, He led captives away, and gave gifts to men." . . .
No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace that would come to you searched and investigated carefully,

Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies that even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.

For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. . . .
who must be silenced. For the sake of dishonorable gain, they undermine entire households and teach things they should not.
